New Alamein City

New Alamein City is one of the new tourist cities located in the North Coast region within the administrative boundaries of Matrouh Governorate. The city extends over a total area of 48,000 acres, stretching 14 kilometers along the Mediterranean coast. It also falls within the administrative boundaries of Marsa Matrouh Governorate along 48 kilometers of the Alexandria-Matrouh International Road.

New Alamein City was designed according to the standards of the fourth generation of cities, focusing on housing sector development and urbanization. It is considered the first environmentally friendly city in the region.

Similar to the New Capital, New Alamein City boasts massive international projects, making it one of the best tourist cities in Egypt. It includes global commercial centers, large residential towers, and distinctive tourist areas. The city relies on environmentally friendly renewable energy, aiming to accommodate approximately 34 million residents, thus alleviating population pressure on Cairo and other governorates.

The first phase of New Alamein City is divided into two main sectors covering an area of approximately 8,000 acres:

1. Coastal Sector:
- Includes the International Tourist Center sector, which consists of: Hotel district, City center, Convention center, distinguished residential district, Gardens of Alamein district, Lake residences district, Tourist housing, Exhibition grounds, and Entertainment zone.

2. Archaeological and Cultural Sector:
- Comprises an Open Museum, International Park, hotels and port services, and also hosts a university and regional service center.

Additionally, three major projects are planned for New Alamein City:

- Tourist Area.
- South of the Coastal Road Area.
- Urban Sector covering approximately 12 acres.

The tourist sector will feature the construction of 15,000 hotel rooms, a health resort, and a mosque.

The central area of the city, also known as "Downtown," will include the construction of 12 buildings and eight residential towers, along with another project.

The city's general plan includes:
- A series of hotels designed with the latest concepts.
- Residential towers rising over 38 floors.
- A 14-kilometer long, 35-meter wide international tourist promenade.

This plan aims to compete with renowned tourist resorts in the Mediterranean region. The city will also offer a variety of services encompassing tourism, commerce, and education.

Furthermore, the plan includes the establishment of several private universities and comprehensive schools from kindergarten to secondary education levels.
